Sweatshirt | RAF SIMONS | I'm completely obsessed with the sweatshirt trend going on right now. So naturally, a floral Raf Simons sweatshirt is at the very top of my wish list. 

Shorts | Ted Baker |  Something you'll love from Ted Baker are these shorts in the perfect shade of grey for the upcoming weather. I want to have some nice tailored shorts to pair with low top kicks for Spring.

Sneakers | Adidas | The Sambas, a staple from times past, I'd venture to say literally 1999. But in my opinion, they are perfect for the present. I just thrifted a pair recently- can't wait to wear! (HERE)

Sunglasses | SUPER | I know, I know, white sunglasses? But something about this two-toned, SUPER pair make me think I might dip back into that. 

Snapback | OBEY | Something about the OBEY classic logo is so reminiscent of the Nike logo, but with a much stronger message. I'mma need this is white AND black.

Backpack | Marc by Marc Jacobs | I already have the perfect backpack, thanks Coach! (see HERE), but I love this one from Marc by Marc Jacobs. It's perfect for a weekend getaway or a picnic in Central Park.

T-Shirt | Givenchy |  I'm obsessed with Tisci's religious references on traditionally street wear pieces. This particular shirt, with pastel hints, is spot on for my current musings.

denim daze

[Vintage Levis denim jacket, ASOS dip dye denim shirt, ASOS denim, Cole Haan boots]

This week, I checked out ASOS Fall/Winter 2013 Collection at their new office in Soho and now I can't stop thinking about what I saw! A couple of favorites; a leather sleeved blazer, a naked babe printed button-up & coordinating blazer, backpack and snapback covered in embroidered stars.

Until then, today is all about their Spring denim collection & my new favortie; the dip dyed denim shirt. It goes with everything & is perfect for layering. I have a feeling you'll be seeing this shirt a few more times (and already here).

My newest obsession is this sweatshirt from England based Fuudhoods. The print feels like it was made for me, mixing tradition houndstooth with a streetwear oversized print in a classic baseball raglan. This is my take on 3.1 Philip Lim's Fall '12 menswear show. #FashionGoggled

DIY-ed [floral pocket]

My roommate and I are always thrifting. More often then not, one of will fall in love with an outdated, ill-fitting piece with a print to die for or a detail we stop dreaming of. So last weekend when my roommate found a prairie dress of sorts in this ridiculously perfect red-based floral print, she immediately came home, cut off the 12 inches from the bottoms and half the sleeves. After altering her dress, all I could think of was the excess fabric under the sewing machine. 

So naturally, I decided to add a floral pocket to an old oxford that has fallen out of my rotation.

Step 1 |  Start by cutting a pocket sized square of the fabric of your choice. The pocket I went with was 4" by 6" so I cut a piece 5" by 7"

Step 2 | Fold under the sides and lay a light stitch around the edges.


Step 3 | Admire your new friend.

Step 4 | Pin the pocket to the shirt of your choice on your desired side. Then finish by sewing the sides and bottom edge of your pock onto your shirt. 

Step 5 | Add that old shirt right back into your favorites section cause you're going to want to wear it everyday. You miiiight see it next week.

Anytime I happen upon a vintage blazer that fits like this one does; it's a must get. The key to thrifting is knowing what shapes work best with your body, because finding a great piece is not the challenge generally. The fit and shape is what will make finding that gem work for you.

Mixing brown and black is one of my favorite ways to mix up an outfit. Similar to the question on white pants, don't be afraid to mix black and brown- that's definitely a rule of the past.
