pastels & a bomber

Even though this jacket is actually pretty heavy-duty, I like to wear it when I don't have to have many layers below it as it is pretty bulk-y. It feels like a perfect segway into more Spring colors.

The weather has been incredible lately & these ASOS drainpipe pants are the perfect introduction to warmer temperatures. They are the perfect balance of dressy and casual- suiting material with an unusual cut for letting those ankles or socks poke out on a nice day.

I really wanted some ombre-type denim with the bottoms bleached. So last week, I took to some DIY and dip-bleached some old articles of clothing. I gotta say, I'm loving the first run of these. They might just make there way up from the back of my closet where they have been living for a few years.

DIA: BEACON

For president's day, my friends & I went to Dia: Beacon to escape the city and catch some rays. The Dia lives in an old printing factory, sprawling the banks of the Hudson, about an hour and twenty minutes from the city. The setting was picture-esque and the art was spectacular. Besides the basement, the entire museum relied on natural light. We roamed amongst pencil drawings from Sol LeWitt, florescent installations from Dan Flavin & rusted, magic from Richard Serra. I can't wait to go back.

My photographer/blogger/Bollare intern/main girl and I had an eventful Valentine's Day shooting yesterday's outfit of the day.
