I love when the fog rolls in and the city is quiet in it's gloom. It always reminds me of a David Lynch twisted fantasy, much like these photos by Japanese photographer, Osamu Yokonami. Stark in their distanced point of view, the images capture solidarity in numbers, yet evoke feelings of solemn loneliness. I won't be forgetting these anytime soon.
celebrate naturally
When you live in New York, a trip out of the city, no matter how small, can restart your mind and get the juices flowing again. This past weekend, I headed up to Lake Wanaksink in the Hudson Valley for some quality R&R and outdoor time with some awesome friends Erica & Davie, Rob, Laura, Stephan and Katie.
One of my favorite parts of the weekend was being in the rowboat or canoe, paddling tirelessly to an old-school dock slide or the private island- perfect for tanning. We spent most of the weekend in the lake, and the other half munching on cheese, guac and all the other snacks. The company was perfect, the weather amazing; a much needed weekend of celebrating naturally.
Every Friday, Poland Spring® is sharing beautiful ways that nature celebrates with a reminder to treat yourself to a celebration, too. Head over to the Poland Spring® Facebook page every Friday for inspiration to celebrate naturally and share your own story on their page.

Soaking in the last of the short wearing days while I still can. Can't believe fashion week is just around the corner.

pink: it's my new obsession
[American Apparel varsity jacket, A.P.C. shirt, Timex watch, Marwood cashemere socks, Vans pink shoes, J. Crew pants]
Although the fashion world always seems to be a year ahead, time really does fly as it seems like just yesterday, I posted this monochromatic pink look channeling Givenchy on FG. Well, the time has come again after a long summer, of pining for dusty pinks in my life. I want the mauve-y shade in pants, shirts, sweaters, socks, shoes- you name it. From the sleeves of this perfectly powdered AA jacket to this Timex with white accents, I need it all.

color overload
[Electric leatherback, Modern Amusement shirt, Big Star USA shorts, ADIDAS samba, L.a.r.k. Laserbeam clutch]
Often times I find myself going to my closet and gravitating towards a somewhat neutral & dark pieces, today was not that day. With my favorite floral shirt, I ditched the large bag for just the essentials with this LARK pouch. Spoiler alert, the inside is lined with even more colors- obsessed.

Billionaire Boys Club
Mid -week outfit musings after a weekend spent at MoMA PS1 for Warm Up.
Billionaire Boys Club Sweatshirt | A crew neck sweatshirt is my favorite layering piece right now- why not make it this black one by BBC.
Paul Smith designer shirt | Every man needs a denim button up. Throw it on with khakis, colored denim and if you're brave, the matching pants.
Silver Tag watch | I'm in need of a nice silver watch with a black bezel. Day dreaming of this mens Tag Heuer watch.
Raf Simons futuristic sneakers | From his latest runway show, the perfect, aspirational sneaker from the one and only, Raf Simons.
Odd Future donut snapback | After years of listening to the entire wolfgang crew, not sure how I haven't caved on Amazon one night for the classic donut O.F. snapback. It's only a matter of time.

converse fall
The more summer fades into fall, the more I realize I need a pair of Converse All Stars, white high-tops. They are the perfect match to jean jacket weather- the best of all weathers. I spent many 'back to school' seasons wearing in a new pair of the classic footwear. Through the different stages and phases of middle and high school fashion, Converse always seemed to have a place. Black during the Warped Tour years, bright and worn in kelly green through The Beatles bliss- and now, I'm thinking the white would be the color de jour. 501s, jean jacket, a good print and white high tops could be just what my fall needed. #FashionGoggled
headed to the jungle
[Vintage hat from Etsy, Tailor 4 Less custom shirt, Opening Ceremony x Gitman Bros. shorts, Quiksilver shoes]
Blacks and browns, browns and blacks. Now that my hair is longer and the weather milder, I can finally bust back out the wide brim hats. Today, I opted for this Tailor 4 Less custom shirt, which if you haven't checked out yet that the time now- they offer completely customizable shirts, pants and full suits for the normal dude, down to the cuff, with my favorite Zebra shorts from OC x Gitman Bros. Welcome to the jungle.

Beck's Independent Artist Series
[Skip N' Whistles Cat Face sweatshirt, Citizens of Humanity denim, Timberland Boots, Beck's Independent Artist Series beer]
Excited to share this photo shoot I did for Beck's new Independent Artist Series beer. Each year, Beck’s selects six artists, from different disciplines, to design original creative work to live on Beck’s beer labels. Some of my favorites this year include photographer William Hundley, digital gals TM Sisters and musician Willis Earl Beal.
In honor of the series, I decided to ask my sunny side-up friend Kimi of Tan Camera to come shoot a special series of photos including the beer. We ended up doing a night shoot in front of a large Mario Bros. graffiti piece on my block in Bushwick with me in this Skip N' Whistles Cat Face sweatshirt and Timbs. What do you think?

malin daze
[Thrifted shirt from L Train Vintage, American Apparel short, Ozone Socks Endangered Cats Snow Leopard sock (similar), Tsubo Halian boot, caseable Mac case]
I am completely in love with Gray Malin's colorful, repetitive photography work making prints out of people. So when I went to design a custom macbook pro case over at caseable, I naturally decided to cover it in one of my favorite photos from Malin. I couldn't be more obsessed and it's perfect for traveling. And yes, those are snow leopards on my socks.
