Upon returning to Brooklyn from a very nice, long break at home in Atlanta. Maddie and I hit the roof in my favorite new coat from WGACA. Loden is a green fabric made in and native to Austria that is perfect for winter winds and rain. Couldn't be more excited to wear this vintage gem.

Thinking of fancy NYE outfits and I couldn't help but pairing this INSANE vintage Kenzo shirt I got last month with an ASOS tuxedo blazer and rifle collar bar. How are you dressing up for the Holiday?

With temps in the 20s, it's all about strategic layering of thin but insulating clothing to keep the chill at bay while keeping your style on point. I'm obsessed with the tail of my shirt left untucked reminiscent of Cher Horowitz, with a cable or fisherman's knit sweater and topcoat.

winter uniform

[Carhartt jacket, Thrifted Brooks Brothers turtleneck from Nifty Thrifty, Levi's 510s, Cole Haan boots]

Always, slipping into the uniform. This winter, it's black cashmere (for thin layered warmth) and this wind protecting Carhartt jacket. It's a bit short for a traditional winter jacket, but I'm obsessed with the silhouette, especially for pairing with a turtleneck. I wasn't always so certain I could sport a turtleneck without feeling a bit off, this mixture of fine turtleneck and work wear jacket seems to be the uniform for the time being.
